Receiving routine oral cancer screenings and testing is crucial, as many of the symptoms of oral pathology do not cause pain or discomfort. During an oral pathology exam, we review your medical history and perform an examination, including x-rays, to determine your specific health needs. During an in-depth exam of your mouth, we’ll identify any areas of concern based on their color, shape, location or texture, and may perform a biopsy for analysis. If more extensive surgical measures must be taken, we’re qualified and equipped to provide the treatment you need to restore your oral health—and peace of mind.

The best defense against disease and oral cancer starts at home. Any kind of tobacco and even heavy alcohol use are common causes of oral cancer. We recommend that you perform monthly oral pathology exams and look for signs of concern.
